The Fleet Manager at Dependable Fire Services is responsible for overseeing the company's fleet of vehicles and ensuring that they are properly maintained and utilised. This role is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of Dependable Fire Services fleet, including vehicle maintenance, repairs, inspections, fuel management, and compliance with federal and state regulations. This role requires good management skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
The position of Fleet Manager with Dependable Fire Service is full-time (38 hours per week) and based in West Gosford, NSW. There is annual remuneration of between $70,000 to $90,000 (negotiable) on offer.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Oversee and manage the daily operations of Dependable Fire Services' fleet of vehicles, including scheduling maintenance and repairs, fueling, and cleaning.
· Develop and implement effective fleet management strategies, policies, and procedures.
· Ensure all vehicles are maintained in accordance with manufacturers' specifications and in compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations.
· Develop and manage the fleet budget, including forecasting and tracking expenses, and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
· Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repairs, fuel usage, and other fleet-related data.
· Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure the timely and cost-effective provision of parts, equipment, and services.
· Manage and oversee the training and development of drivers and other fleet personnel.
· Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials.
· Managing onsite machinery usage, ensuring all machinery drivers have valid licenses.
· Organising and managing all plant and equipment for Dependable Fire including hire agreements, servicing and repairs.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES REQUIRED:
· Diploma or equivalent employment experience
· Minimum of 2 years’ in managing or overseeing transport/logistics operations
· Excellent communication skills
· Attention to detail
· Able to hit the ground running and take control of Operations
