The Client, in partnership with other Commission services and stakeholders, provides high-qualitycorporate solutions/information systems for the Research and Innovation Family, enabling the successful implementation of the Commission's Digital Transformation and EU policies. In close collaboration with other Commission services and its customers, the Client builds and operates solutions in the areas of grants, experts, and procurement management. In order to support the development and improvement of the eGrants information systems, the Commission wishes to procure the services of an Enterprise Architect (EA). The solution assignment may change over time, according to the portfolio/project/service needs.
DESCRIPTION OF THE TASKS
The following tasks will be performed:
- Create business architecture models that reflect the organization’s strategies and goals
- Integrate the project and program strategies and ensure alignment with business strategies and drivers, and management priorities
- Identify ways to reduce costs in IT and business leadership
- Evaluate systems for discrepancies or vulnerabilities
- Conduct research to find ways to improve operations
- Provide business architecture and systems processing guidance
- Create and implement a business vision and multi-year plan
- Manage the implementation of information systems to meet identified business needs, acquiring and utilizing the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality
- Coordination of the implementation of the business requirements
- Definition and analysis of the business requirements
- Prepare and maintain project and quality plans and track activities against the plan
- Assistance with the definition of internal methodologies and application lifecycle
- Participation in functional working groups, progress meetings, and meetings with the users
LEVEL OF EDUCATION
The minimum educational qualification corresponds to Level 7 of the European Qualification Framework which typically corresponds to a master's degree of 5 years.

- Ability to work in multi-cultural environment, on multiple large projects

- A high degree of discretion and integrity is required as the applications managed and maintained contain personal and confidential data
SPECIFIC EXPERTISE
The following specific expertise is mandatory for the performance of tasks:
- At least 5 years of experience with JAVA
- At least 5 years of experience with BPMN
