Oxygen at Work seeks a self-directed Junior R&D Specialist with a passion for plants, technology, collaboration, and creative problem-solving. In this entry position, you will frequently work in small teams to solve problems, explore new technologies, and learn from one another. The ideal candidate for this environment will be enthusiastic and collaborative. You will actively contribute to exciting real-world projects in commercial real estate, and work closely with senior leadership in the Research and Product Development (R&PD) department.
Responsibilities
- Design and development of a digital plant data repository (plant as a digital asset)
- Development of new data-driven plant monitoring metrics (from order to maintenance and replacement)
- Development and maintenance of a plant (meta)data catalog
- Maintenance and updating of the existing sensor portfolio and assistance with troubleshooting
- Work with the R&PD team for operating and maintaining the in-house software
- Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or another relevant major
- Good analytical and mathematics skills
- Experience programming in Python and/or MATLAB
- Familiar with big data analytics
- Ability to work in teams
- Strong verbal and written communication in English
- Hands-on experience working with database management tools (like MySQL) and/or cloud computing platforms (like AWS) is a plus
