What is your role

As the technical leader of the Automated Content organization, you will work with various teams involved in research and product development, covering a wide range of product lines. Your role will include supervising technical investment portfolios, which encompass advanced technologies such as computer vision, machine learning, data, and software engineering, crucial for sport. Additionally, you will develop long-term technical and product strategies alongside key partners, ensuring that we stay ahead at the forefront of innovation.


Responsibilities

  • Lead a Tribe of Computer Vision, Deep Learning and Software engineers relying heavily on experience from vision to prototypes and development to release advanced systems in the areas the areas of data extraction, automated content creation such as video production and augmented reality.
  • Own the technical vision and their requirements by collaborating with each of the teams to ensure technologies are integrated creating planned system architectures that meet the technical vision.
  • Develop ideas across the team through cross functional engagement that advances the data and product pipelines across hardware, software, data, and models.
  • Support internal engineering strategies and engineering excellence to improve legacy modernization, automated testing, manage paved roads, security vulnerability management, consolidated pipelines.
  • Lead the recruitment of exceptional talent and build a high performing team through providing technical leadership, mentoring, setting culture and accountability.
  • Employ strategic and tactical methodologies to partner with multiple organizations, determine and implement long-term software goals, and ensure efficient execution of daily development tasks.


Qualifications

  • Masters or PhD in computer science, mathematics, engineering with an additional 5 years of related working experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing or providing technical leadership to teams in dynamic environments, with a track record of successfully shipping technologies to products.
  • Proficient in Computer Vision and Deep Learning techniques including algorithm development, object detection, segmentation, tracking, (re)identification, camera calibration, depth estimation, and 3D bounding box estimation.
  • Experience designing, training, and deploying neural networks
  • Advanced research and development experience in computer vision/deep learning
  • Experienced in implementing and optimizing complex and performance-critical systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in multi-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated and strong problem-solving skills.
